Vision Statement

Catholic Charities - Diocese of Tyler envisions communities with active empowered children, adults and families engaged in the ministry of giving their prayers, their time, their talents and their worldly good to experience the way of the cross of Jesus as He appears in our midst today: hungry, thirsty, lonely, imprisoned, grieving, homeless, hopeless. We believe that this engagement will result in a just and compassionate society and growth in sanctity, God's will done on earth as it is in heaven.

Mission Statement

Grounded in the gospel of Jesus and rooted in the Catholic Church, the mission of Catholic Charities - Diocese of Tyler is to voice the call to holiness in the East Texas community by linking those in need with disciples called to love. Catholic Charities seeks to empower parishioners and parishes throughout East Texas in serving this diverse community, without regard to race, ethnicity, creed, national origin or economic standing.
