It is with
great pleasure that we introduce to you, Brooks
West, the new associate director for new
evangelization. Brooks is married with four children
and lives in Sulphur Springs, Texas. He will visit
all the parishes to recruit leaders and promote the
praying of the evangelization chaplet, understanding
of evangelization events and advertise the agape guild.
Please welcome him when he calls for an appointment.
Prayer
cards for the evangelization chaplet are available
from Daniel Najvar - 903-878-7003.
Each
parish is encouraged to have prayer cards available
in the foyer of the church.
New
Evangelization:
 During the annual evangelization conference the Bishop encouraged the laity and clergy to collaborate
with the Holy Spirit in bringing the saving presence of the Lord Jesus Christ into the fabric of daily living
as experienced in evangelization events.
Fr. Paul Key guided participants in writing personal testimony by responding to three questions:
1. How did you live life before a full conscious decision to follow the Lord?
2. How were you lead to a decision to commit wholeheartedly to Christ?
3. How has life changed after committing your heart to the Lord Jesus Christ?
The Diocese
is currently forming an Evangelization group.
