The new evangelization effort for the Diocese is based on three components of evangelization... Evangelization Chaplet, Evangelization Events, and the Agape Guild.
Fr. Ariel Cortes has been appointed by the Bishop to head the New Evangelization Team for the Diocese.

Prayer
cards:
Each
parish is encouraged to have prayer cards available
in the foyer of the church. Material for new evangelization for the evangelization chaplet are available

Agape Guild
Be
part of the New Evangelization in the Diocese of Tyler,
join the Agape Guild. Members engage in daily
prayer and receive suggestions for encounters that
are open to the event of evangelization.
The focus is on events of evangelization. At birthday parties, visits to the hospital, standing in line at the grocery store, etc. we are challenged to listen for indications that a person is seeking a deeper meaning in life. Our response includes:
1. Recognize the opportunity,
2. Pray,
3. Share stories,
4. Invite
5. Follow-up.
It is important that the teenagers and young adults are taught the message of new evangelization. A DVD is available for the teens and young adult audience. One copy is available for each parish. For more information please contact Fr. Ariel Cortes holycrosscc@hotmail.com
HELP to Parishes
Diocesan Evangelization Committee
Members of the diocesan evangelization committee are willing to visit parishes. During the visits we promote praying the evangelization chaplet, provide insturction about evangelization events and support the Agape Guild.
