DESCRIPTION:All those who engage in ministry in the Diocese of Tyler must have a Church Personnel Certification (CPC) in the diocese. The CPC includes training, a criminal background check, and commitment to the diocesan Code of Conduct for Church Personnel. The CPC is required for all employees and other volunteers who will be working with minors or vulnerable adults. A CPC is valid for three years. You can learn about this process at https://www.dioceseoftyler.org/cpc/.\nAll current Church personnel must maintain an active CPC. Recertification may be completed at any time prior to the expiration of the existing CPC, based on the Initial Training date. Recertification includes completing the training, submitting to a new background check, and signing a recommitment to the Code of Conduct.\nVIRTUS training attendees should pre-register for the session and, if needed, complete their background check and code of conduct online at https://www.virtusonline.org.
