Catholic Scientist and Theologian to Speak at Next Catholic Professional Network Event

The East Texas Catholic Professional Network’s next event is on Thursday, November 30 from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at the Willow Brook Country Club in Tyler. Catholic scientist, author, theologian, and convert Stacy Trasancos Ph.D., will deliver a talk entitled “Particles of Faith: Evangelizing through Modern Science.” All working Catholic professionals are invited join the East Texas Catholic Foundation and St. Philip Institute of Catechesis and Evangelization for this evening of networking, fellowship, and enrichment in the Catholic faith. Tickets are $35 per person. Attendees must register in advance here by November 28. A cocktail and networking hour will begin at 6:00 p.m. followed by dinner and the presentation at 7:00 p.m. The event is sponsored by Image Eye Care, located at 2756 S. Broadway in Tyler.

Stacy A. Trasancos, Ph.D., is a wife and homeschooling mother of seven. She was born and raised in Texas, but left in the 1990s to obtain a PhD in Chemistry from Penn State University. She worked for DuPont until 1999, left that career to raise children, became Catholic, and earned a MA in Dogmatic Theology from Holy Apostles College & Seminary online while home with babies. She now teaches for Kolbe Academy, Holy Apostles, and Seton Hall University. She is author of Science Was Born of Christianity: The Teaching of Fr. Stanley L. Jaki and Particles of Faith: A Catholic Guide to Navigating Science. She writes for National Catholic Register, Catholic Answers, and Catholic World Report, and frequently appears on Catholic radio, including SiriusXM, Relevant Radio, EWTN, and Catholic Answers Live.
