Retirement Reception for CET Editor Jim D’Avignon
Bishop Strickland will host a retirement reception onSaturday, December 13, at the Cathedral Center from1:00 pm to 2:30 pm to honor Jim D’Avignon and his 20 years of service to the Dioceseand the Catholic East Texas. This is an informal event and all are encouraged to stop by and say thank you and farewell.

To the Heart: Diocese of Tyler Youth Retreat
High School-aged students from across the Diocese ofTyler are invited to attend the 2015 “To the Heart” Retreat, sponsored by the diocesan Office of Youth Ministry. The theme “To the Heart” is to not only to focus on keeping Christ in our heart, but also to live out our baptismal call as Catholics to witness to the truth from our hearts that are filled by the Holy Spirit. This is why we pray, “Come, Holy Spirit, fill the hearts of your faithful…” The retreat will be held January 2-4, 2015, at The Pines Catholic Camp near Big Sandy.  The cost is $100 per attendee. Information and registration information is here.

Bridging the Gap: Faith Formation for Special Needs
The Office of Faith Formation will host a workshop for catechists, parents/caregivers, faith formation leaders and clergy to help to understand the diagnosis of Autism, Down Syndrome, Tourette’s Syndrome, ADD,  ADHD, Sensory Processing Disorders, and others and how to welcome them into relationship with God. Canonical Marriage Advocate Training
Fr.
