Perspectives on the Reformation Event

Bishop Joseph Strickland and Father Joshua Neu, SSL, will be participating in the “Perspectives on the Reformation” theological discussion events in Tyler.

The 6 weekly sessions on the Reformation at the Foundry Coffee shop in downtown Tyler will be from 7:00 pm to about 8:30.  Various religious leaders in Tyler will share perspectives and insights on the Reformation.


Thursday, Sept. 28 – Pastor Mark Braaten of Our Saviour’s Lutheran presenting on a Lutheran perspective

Thursday, Oct. 5 – Bishop Joseph Strickland and Rev. Joshua Neu of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Tyler on a Roman Catholic perspective

Thursday, Oct. 12 – Rev. Eric Barton of Bethel Bible Church and Rev. Ben Wheeler of Redeemer Presbyterian Church on a Reformed perspective

Thursday, Oct. 19 – Father Matt Boulter of Christ Episcopal Church on an Episcopalian perspective

Thursday, Oct. 26 – Blaine Davis, a teacher at Grace Community School and a Lutheran Seminary student, on Luther and Vocation

Thursday, November 2 – A number of leaders in a panel discussion on the ramifications of the Reformation, and what this means as we move onward in ministry.

This event is open to the public and there is no charge.
