Bishop Corrada and his family are ok. Thanks be to God, Mayagüez was spared from catastrophic damage as a result of Hurricane Maria.
Our Seminarians who are studying in Mexico City and their families are ok. They were all a bit frightened, but didn’t suffer any injuries and are not displaced as a result of the earthquake.
Bishop Carmody has reported that the city of Corpus Christi and the diocesan offices are pretty much back to normal; although, the school in Rockport was completely destroyed as a result of Hurricane Harvey.
Please keep our diocesan family and the Texas Bishops in prayer as they continue to recover from these recent weather events. – Bishop Strickland
