Important Update Regarding Our Diocesan Family in Puerto Rico, Mexico City and Along the Texas Coast

Bishop Corrada and his family are ok. Thanks be to God, Mayagüez was spared from catastrophic damage as a result of Hurricane Maria.

Our Seminarians who are studying in Mexico City and their families are ok. They were all a bit frightened, but didn’t suffer any injuries and are not displaced as a result of the earthquake.

Bishop Carmody has reported that the city of Corpus Christi and the diocesan offices are pretty much back to normal; although, the school in Rockport was completely destroyed as a result of Hurricane Harvey.

Please keep our diocesan family and the Texas Bishops in prayer as they continue to recover from these recent weather events.  – Bishop Strickland
