Brian Braquet, Cathedral Director of Music and Worship and Dianna Braquet, Cathedral Choir Director are in the process of forming a Diocesan Choir for the Diocese.

The first event will be a ST. CECILIA CONCERT on Sunday, November 19 at 4 pm in the Cathedral. This concert will feature a Renaissance Mass and various other sacred music selections. The choir will also be on standby for other events, such as Ordinations, Chrism Mass, etc.

A Mass of Hope and Healing will  be offered for all of those affected by abuse on September 16 @ 10:00 am – 12:00 pm at the Sts. Peter and Paul Chapel on the Bishop Thomas K. Gorman Catholic Schools campus 1435 E SE Loop 323, Tyler.

Many people, families, and communities suffer from child abuse, domestic violence, human trafficking, clergy sex abuse, etc.  Whatever the cause of the wound, Jesus offers His healing love and mercy.

Come join Bishop Strickland in prayer if you have been affected by abuse directly or indirectly, or simply want to pray for an end to abuse and healing for those who suffer from abuse.

More resources for those affected by abuse are available from the Maria Goretti Network

On behalf of 6  of our sister Texas Dioceses, the Diocese of Tyler is asking for your financial support. As these dioceses and their communities recover from the damages and total destruction of Hurricane Harvey, they will need our prayer and financial support.

Catholic Charities-Tyler is accepting monetary donations for Hurricane Harvey relief efforts. The agency also is accepting pre-paid MasterCard or Visa gift cards.

Donations will be forwarded to Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of Galveston-Houston to assist with disaster recovery there.
