Campus ministry programs for UT Tyler, Tyler Junior College and Stephen F. Austin State University have scheduled fundraisers for this fall.
St. John Paul the Great Catholic Campus Ministry, serving UT Tyler and Tyler Junior College, will host its annual fundraising event on Tuesday, Sept. 15, from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the Ornelas Activity Center in Tyler.
The keynote speaker will be Abby Johnson who worked for Planned Parenthood for eight years before leaving the organization and becoming a Pro-Life activist, author and speaker.
Bishop Joseph E. Strickland also will be present. For tickets, table sponsorship or more information, contact Dan Onderko at 903-830-8917 or email email@example.com.
Later in the fall, the SFA Campus Ministry in Nacogdoches will host its first annual Spirit Brunch on Saturday, Oct. 31, from 9:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. at St. Mary’s Chapel.
The brunch will feature food, champagne, and a jazz band, plus a raffle and cupcake auction. Bishop Joseph E. Strickland will be on hand for the event and to celebrate his birthday that day.
Tickets can be purchased at http://www.sfacatholic.net/ or at the event. For more information, contact Michael Molina at 936-564-0661.
Funding for both campus ministries comes from generous contributions around the Diocese of Tyler as well as alumni, parents, parishioners, and students.
