Meeting Our New Priests: Father Charles Vreeland

As part of a continuing video series from the staff of the Catholic East Texas, we’ll be introducing the new priests of the Diocese of Tyler – those recently ordained and those who’ve transferred to the diocese from elsewhere.

In our fourth interview, we meet Father Charles Vreeland who came to the Diocese of Tyler in the summer of 2015. Fr. Vreeland, a native of Fredericksburg, Texas, has been assigned as parochial vicar at Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception and chaplain of Bishop Gorman Schools in Tyler.

  2. Your joy shines through when you speak of your vocation. We are grateful you came to Tyler and are a part of our school community. Our kids look up to you and love you and always say “Father Vreeland is cool!” We will pray that God will give you strength everyday to do His work that He called you to do.
