Three new staff members have joined the Chancery Office in the last month to assist in all areas of diocesan administration.
Elizabeth Carlson has joined the development office as associate director of development for donor services. She will assist Peter Kane in coordinating the Bishop’s Annual Appeal and other giving programs, as well as managing donor communications and events.
Carlson comes to the Diocese of Tyler after directing development at the University Catholic Center at UT Austin, where she was responsible for all fundraising for the ministry.
In the faith formation office, Marisol Torres has joined the staff as administrative assistant to Linda Porter and Sr. Angelica Orozco, EFMS, replacing Teresa Ramirez who recently moved to the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception to coordinate Hispanic faith formation.
To provide support in the operations office, Ariseli Lara has joined the Chancery as administrative assistant to Chad Cleckler. Lara was previously on the staff of the East Texas Crisis Center.
In addition to the three new staff members, Diana Jones, who currently works in the finance office, will become the diocesan human resources manager effective Aug. 1. The human resources office is newly established and will assist in coordination of employment benefits and procedures.
