The Diocese of Tyler is seeking qualified applicants to fill the full-time position of Information Technology Manager, Chad Cleckler, director of operations, has announced.
The IT Manager coordinates and supervises all aspects of the information technology for the diocese, under the direction of the director of operations and in accordance with established policies and procedures.
The IT Manager assesses and manages computer systems, data operations, security and telecommunication needs, as well as directs out-sourced vendors in implementation and ongoing maintenance of those systems.

The minimum qualifications for this position are:
- Bachelor’s degree from a college or university accredited by an organization recognized by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA) or by the United States Department of Education (USDE). Major course work in computer science, computer information systems, information technology or a related field preferred, but not required.
- Five years full-time, wage-earning experience with third party interfaces, network connectivity, administration and configuration, and multi-server experience. Each year of experience beyond the five years may be substituted for one year of accredited education for a maximum of two years.
- Excellent knowledge of technical management, information analysis and of computer hardware/software systems.
- Compliance with moral standards acceptable to the Catholic Church.
