There has been a change in itinerary for the centennial visit of the pilgrim statue of Our Lady of Fatima to the Diocese of Tyler July 21-27.
The statue will visit Our Lady of Fatima Church in Daingerfield July 24-25 instead of Our Lady of Victory Church in Paris.
The statue will arrive at the church the afternoon of July 24, with confessions and the Rosary at 5 p.m., a procession to the altar at 6 p.m. with the Imposition of the Scapular and Rosary and the crowning of Our Lady and the St. John Paul II consecration prayer.
Father Francis O’Dowd will celebrate a bilingual Mass at 6:30 p.m., followed by a talk by a missionary on the importance of consecration to the Two Hearts and the Brown Scapular, as well as an invitation to families to consecrate themselves, and Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament and all night Adoration.
Tuesday, July 25, will begin with the Rosary at 8 a.m., and a bilingual Mass at 8:30 a.m. Family consecration to the Two Hearts, Investiture of the Brown Scapular, and veneration of Our Lady of Fatima will follow.
The statue will depart at 10 a.m. with a farewell procession.
