“Finding God: Adaptive Faith Formation For Special Needs”

Presentation by Luci Holloway, Consultant for Loyola Press

Our Sunday Visitor and the Westerman Foundation have granted the Diocese of Tyler Special Needs Ministry $10,000 to use for formation. 10 kits will be given away at this training session to 10 deserving parishes who are providing for these families.

Linda Porter, director, said, “A consultant from Loyola Press will be in Tyler February 17 at the Cathedral Center to present a training session on how to use the Adaptive Finding God Kits for Special Needs. The resource includes stringing rosary cards, plastic visual steps to receiving communion, large puzzle on the parts of the liturgy, lots of
picture cards of theological ideas and many more. Through two grants secured for special needs for the Diocese of Tyler, we have purchased 10 kits at the cost of $400 to be given away to parishes who are implementing programs for special needs faith formation. The resources are wonderful for all children to understand better the faith, but designed to assist those with disabilities. Plan to attend!”
