The annual Retirement Fund for Religious collection will be taken up Dec. 10-11 in the Diocese of Tyler. Coordinated by the National Religious Retirement Office (NRRO), the parish-based appeal benefits nearly 33,000 senior Catholic sisters, brothers, and religious order priests whose communities lack adequate retirement savings. Herzig Award to be Presented Sunday at Cathedral

Bishop Joseph E. Strickland will present the annual Bishop Charles E. Herzig Humanitarian Award on Sunday, Sept. 11, during the 10 a.m. Holy Mass at the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception in Tyler.
