CANTON – Catholic Charities-Diocese of Tyler in conjunction with Catholic Charities-Dallas is launching a long-term recovery assistance effort for victims of the recent tornadoes.

Catholic Charities will have disaster case managers on site at St. Therese Church in Canton, in the parish hall, Tuesdays-Thursdays, May 30-June 30, 9 a.m.-2 p.m. or by appointment, to discuss assistance options.

St. Therese is at 885 First Monday Lane (FM 859), Canton, Texas 75103.

To get to the church:

  • From State Highway 64, head west on Hwy, 64 to FM 859, just past the Civic Center in Canton, and turn right onto FM 859. The church is less than 1 mile on the left.
  • From Tyler on Interstate 20, take Exit 526 in Canton, turn left on FM 859 over the bridge. The church is approximately 1 mile on the right.
  • From Dallas on I20, take exit 526 in Canton, turn right on FM 859. St. Therese will be approximately 1 mile on the right.
