The Diocese of Tyler Office of Youth Evangelization is excited to announce that we will join Pope Francis and millions of young people from almost every nation on earth for World Youth Day 2016 in Krakow, Poland. July 23-August 2
Our 10 day pilgrimage will include visits to Czestochowa, Auschwitz, Wadowice and more.
The highlight of the trip will be the once-in-a-lifetime experience of joining the Holy Father and millions of faithful young Catholics in offering themselves to Jesus Christ!

Jul. 26: Lagiewniki /Krakow – Divine Mercy, St. Stanislaw on the Rock, Nova Huta Church . Main Market Square, St. Marys, Wawel Cathedral
Jul. 27: Auschwitz/Wadowice – St. Maximimilian Kolbe, Birthplace of John Paul II
Jul. 28: Krakow – Tourling religious sites.
Jul. 29: Krakow -Welcome the Holy Father, Morning tour, evening Stations of the Cross
Jul. 30: Krakow – Pilgrim walk to site of closing mass
Jul. 31: Krakow – Closing Mass with the Holy Father
Aug. 1: Travel from Poland to Texas
WYD Prep meetings will begin Sunday, August 2, and will continue the first Sunday of every month from 4 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.. Pilgrims can attend the 6 p.m. mass at the Chapel together
Teens must be age 15 before getting on the airplane
Note to Adults: This is a YOUTH pilgrimage. We have limited space for adult pilgrims, and their purpose is to guide, support, and encourage the youth. This is not a “trip” but a pilgrimage. We will be walking several miles each day, and visiting holy sites. All adults must have completed background checks and ethics and integrity training before our meetings begin in August.
