When is DCYC?
DCYC 2026 will be held on Saturday, October 10, 2026. Check-in will begin at 8:00 a.m. DCYC begins with a General Assembly at 9:00 a.m. and will conclude at 6:00 p.m. A schedule for planning is available in the Group Leader Section.
Who Can Attend DCYC?
All high school students in grades 9-12 during the 2026-2027 school year are invited to attend. DCYC requires an official chaperone ratio of 1:8 per gender. This means that there must be one Safe Environment cleared and trained chaperone, age 21 or above, for every seven youth registered of the same gender. Safe Environment trained Young Adults, age 18-20, may attend as adult leaders, but do not count toward the chaperone ratios.
How Do I Register for DCYC?
DCYC registration takes place entirely online. Group Leaders are designated by each parish, school, or other Catholic youth organization. High School teens should contact their group leader for information on how to register. Group Leaders can contact the DCYC Registration team at dcycregistration@dioceseoftyler.org for detailed information on the group registration process. Only Group Leaders can fill out the Group Registration Form HERE
What's Included with Registration?
The DCYC Team provides the following for each registered participant:
- Lunch and Snacks
- DCYC T-shirt
- DCYC Credentials
- All programming (nationally known speakers and musicians plus a breakout session with options on a variety of topics relevant to teens).
- Saturday “Experience” (a.k.a. Recreation Time) which features prayer opportunities, service projects, music, fun interactive games and activities, and more.
Where is DCYC Being Held?
DCYC will be held at JAMA Global Center in Lindale. You can view the facilities HERE.
Can We Stay Overnight?
We are so excited to be able to offer overnight stay on Friday evening to those groups that wish to avoid traveling on the same day. Please read the Overnight section for all the details about overnight stays.
What If My Priest Wants To Help?
By far, this is our favorite answer to give! We always need help from diocesan priests at DCYC, especially with Reconciliation. Have your priest contact the DCYC Director at dcyc@dioceseoftyler.org. There is no program registration cost for priests, religious, seminarians, or deacons to attend DCYC.
