Men’s Retreat at St. John the Evangelist: St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Emory is hosting their 3rd Annual Men’s Retreat on August 16 from 8:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m. The topic of this year’s retreat is The Virtuous Man. The retreat will feature two speakers, Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament, Confession, the Rosary, and will end with the Holy Mass. A light breakfast and lunch will be provided. Women’s Vocation Discernment Program: The Dominican Sisters of Fatima are hosting discernment sessions for women ages 18-35 who would like to know more about the religious life. The introduction and information session will be on August 23, 2025 from 9:00am-3:00pm at the St. Paul Meeting Room at the Diocesan Chancery (1015 E Southeast Loop 323, Tyler, TX 75701). Texas Needs Fatima Monthly Rosary: On Sunday, August 24 from 11:30 a.m. -12:30 p.m. the Stabat Mater Foundation will host the Texas Needs Fatima Monthly Rosary at their Studio and Gallery located at 410 South Broadway Ave. in Tyler. You will have an opportunity to view this special Catholic Art School and see the finished works in the gallery. Robert Puschautz, Artist and Director, will be present to answer any questions regarding Catholic seminars, retreats, workshops, and the importance of prayer in supporting artists. Homeschool Blessing Mass: Bishop Gregory Kelly will be celebrating a Homeschool Blessing Mass for all homeschooling families in the Diocese of Tyler. Tribunal Advocates Training: The Diocesan Tribunal is hosting a Tribunal Advocates Training on Sept. 13 & 27, 2025. As more couples need a Tribunal process, the Church needs more responsible people to accompany them. This training will help deepen your understanding, sharpen your skills, and grow in faith. Your training will empower you to guide parishioners seeking annulments through the application process and procedural acts.
