Advent Retreat for DRE’s, Catechists and Faith Formation Leaders: The diocesan faith formation department is hosting Advent Retreats in English and Spanish for all DRE’s, catechists and faith formation leaders in the diocese. For God Alone Retreat with the Lufkin Dominican Sisters: The Dominican Sisters at the Monastery of the Infant Jesus in Lufkin are hosting a series of retreat days for college age women. These retreats will follow the monastic schedule with the nuns. The dates for upcoming retreat days are November 8, 2025, February 21, 2026, April 11, 2026, and June 6, 2026 from 9:30 a.m.-5:30 p.m. Feel free to attend more than one retreat. This retreat day will help women get away from the busy world and be alone with the Lord. Texas Education Freedom Accounts Webinar: What would $10,000 a year mean for your child’s education? With the Texas Education Freedom Accounts, or Education Savings Account (ESA) program, parents now have the opportunity to make more choices when it comes to the education of their children. Dr. Darbie Safford, superintendent of Catholic Schools in the Diocese of Tyler, will be hosting a free webinar to discuss how this program can support your family. This webinar will answer questions such as: What are the Texas Education Freedom Accounts? Who is eligible for the program? How much is available to each child and family? St. Vincent de Paul Thrift Store Christmas Sale: St. Vincent de Paul in Tyler will be hosting their Annual Thrift Story Christmas Sale on Friday, November 14 and Saturday, November 15 from 9:00 a.m.- 5:00 p.m. The Thrift Store Christmas Sale will take place in the Cathedral Center at the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception (423 S. Broadway Ave, Tyler, TX). Proceeds from the Thrift Store provide funds to purchase food and provide various services to people in need in our community.

Jubilee Closing Mass: Bishop Gregory Kelly will celebrate a Mass to close the 2025 Jubilee Year of Hope in the Diocese of Tyler on December 28, 2025 at 3:00 p.m. The Mass will be held at the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception in Tyler. More information coming soon!
