Diocesan Formation Conference: The Diocesan Formation Conference will be on Saturday, August 8, 2026 from 8:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m at Bishop Gorman School in Tyler. Join us for a day of catechetical formation featuring keynote speaker Adrián Alberto Herrera, associate director of Evangelization and Catechesis from the Archdiocese of Galveston-Houston. The day will also include Mass, breakout sessions for all areas of formation, lunch, vendors and more! Texas Needs Fatima Rosary RallyTexas Needs Fatima Ministry will host a Eucharistic Rosary Rally at St. Luke’s Catholic Church in Wills Point (312 W. Class on St. Luke, the First Church Historian: Fr. Gavin Vaverek will be hosting a formation series titled “St. Luke, First Church Historian” at Our Lady of Victory Parish in Paris (3300 Clarksville St. Paris, TX) on August 10, 11, and 12, 2026 from 9:00-11:00 a.m. or 6:30-8:30 p.m. This formation series will answer questions such as Who was St. Luke? How does he understand the experience of Jesus and the early Church? and Would St. Luke like “The Chosen”? The sessions can be attended live or by Zoom. Relic of St. Maximilian Kolbe in Tyler: For the memorial of St. Maximilian Kolbe and the 85th anniversary of the death of this priest and martyr, the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception (423 S Broadway Ave, Tyler, TX 75702) is hosting an “Evening with a Saint” on Friday, August 14, 2026. The event includes veneration of the relic of St. Maximilian Kolbe from 3:00-5:30 p.m. in the Cathedral, Evening Prayer at 5:30 p.m., a procession of the relic to the Cathedral Center at 6:00 p.m., followed by a showing of “Triumph of the Heart” a movie about St. Maximilian Kolbe at 6:30 p.m. (Note: the movie is not appropriate for children under 15.)

Homeschool Blessing Mass: Bishop Gregory Kelly will be celebrating a Homeschool Blessing Mass for all homeschooling families in the Diocese of Tyler. The Mass will be at St. Mary Magdalene Catholic Church in Flint on August, 28, 2926 at 11:00 a.m. This event is hosted in collaboration with the Catholic Family Adventure Club. Project Rachel Online Healing Group: Project Rachel Hope and Healing Ministry will begin an online healing group in early September 2026 for those who are in need of healing after an abortion experience. Diocese of Tyler Cup: Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church in Paris is hosting a Diocesan Catholic Soccer Tournament. This tournament will bring together parishes from across the diocese for faith, fellowship, competition and community. It is inspired by the Communio Diocesan Cup hosted by the Diocese of Dallas. The tournament will be September 12-13, 2026. Teams must be registered by August 27, 2026.
