TYLER – Chris Davis, the campaign strategist of the peaceful, prayerful, effective 40 Days for Life project, will tell the story of this groundbreaking effort in Tyler on March 5. Davis will be speaking at the 40 Days for Life-Tyler Kickoff Rally, which is set for 7 p.m. at the Bishop T.K. Gorman Middle School Gymnasium.

“People in Tyler have made extraordinary sacrifices to expose the abortion industry and to protect pre-born children and their mothers from abortion,” Davis said. “I’m honored to be able to join these folks in prayer. Their efforts illustrate why we’re seeing historic changes – more mothers choosing life, more abortion workers experiencing conversions and leaving the abortion industry, and more abortion centers closing their doors for good.”

“We are tremendously pleased that Chris will be here to support our 40 Days for Life effort,” said Rev. Nolan Lowry, spokesperson for the local 40 Days for Life campaign in Tyler. “He’s an energetic, enthusiastic speaker, and we know he will be an inspiration.” The event will also feature local speaker BJ Garrett, Executive Director of CARE (Christ-centered Abortion Recovery & Education), who will share her personal testimony of redemption and of overcoming the wounds caused by her two abortions.

Tyler is one of 377 communities around the world conducting simultaneous 40 Days for Life campaigns from March 6 through April 14.

40 Days for Life is an intensive campaign that focuses on 40 days of prayer and fasting for an end to abortion, peaceful vigil at abortion facilities, and grassroots educational outreach. Since 40 Days for Life began, 15,256 mothers have chosen life for their children; 186 abortion workers have quit their jobs; and 99 abortion centers where 40 Days for Life vigils have been held have gone out of business.

Davis currently serves as 40 Days for Life’s campaign strategist, traveling to cities in the United States and Canada to support local 40 Days for Life efforts.

He has led 16 40 Days for Life campaigns in Shreveport and Bossier City, Louisiana.  He has witnessed dozens of babies and mothers saved from abortion and several workers quit the industry. The highlight in his community occurred in 2017 when—on Day 32 of Bossier City’s fifth campaign—the abortion facility shut down for good!
