The Family Life Office hosted the very first Water to Wine Date Night on Friday, February 18th at St. Mary Magdalene in Flint. 24 Couples from around the diocese gathered to enjoy food, wine, and fellowship.

The evening was highlighted by a watercolor workshop led by Robert Puschautz, the Stabat Mater Art Fellow at the St. Philip Institute, who taught the couples to paint a beautiful watercolor image of the Sacred and Immaculate Hearts.

Fr. Justin Braun, pastor of Sacred Heart in Texarkana, also gave a short inspirational talk to the couples called “Cana: Are We There Yet?” in which he encouraged couples to allow Christ to transform their marriage and to keep him at the center.

The Family Life Office plans to offer more of these events around the Diocese of Tyler as part of the ongoing marriage formation ministry.
